I recently sat down with Asya Uysal, North America Regional Manager at Mikodam, to talk about the best ways to find Mikodam in North America and what the company’s plans are for the future! Part 3 (part 2 here)

Maureen Jenson: Thank you so much for showing our readers so many of your beautiful products and their benefits. How can our readers find you in North America?

Asya Uysal: Mikodam aims to be part of an intellectual community sharing the same point of view for design, collaborating with an account based system that is non-territorial . Mikodam has representatives and dealers in the U.S., UK, Europe and Turkey, who are continuously growing in number and who can be reached from anywhere around the world.

MJ: What are your growth plans going forward and any new products for the remainder of 2020?

AU: Mikodam’s target audience has a high-end, sophisticated profile; a high-income community that values high-quality, cultural experiences and limitlessness and we target a global audience between the ages of 25 to 75.

We focus our improvement on customer expectations: feedback, trends, demands and unsolved needs are leading factors. Being innovative, staying up to date and foreseeing the needs of the customers are subjects of high significance for our brand managers. Mikodam targets architects, interior designers, contractors, end users, retail customers and cooperative companies who demand advanced retail design products that are in a non-territorial, global market, with high added value. USA, Germany, Canada and the UK are the close period target markets while other EU countries, the UAE, Qatar and Japan are long term ones.

We mainly focus on hospitality, commercial, workplace, entertainment and residential projects aiming fast yet steady growth with quantitative and qualitative development. Mikodam also collaborates with independent agents such as sales representatives, audio integrators, real estate agents, dealers, kitchen, bathroom, furniture and building material stores.

In comparison to its competitors Mikodam has the capacity to market designed products with high added value at better prices.

Competing products are usually more simple or they have to be custom made, hence redesigned each time, resulting in much higher costs and delivery times.

We aim to create a prestigious community where everyone is involved, sharing ideas and a passion for design. We aim to step out of territorial systems creating a network of professionals globally. We, as designers, are a part of society and we aim to continue our work through collaborations among different platforms within this society.

Mikodam has recently launched a series of doors—either in wood or steel—that allow the user to choose different styles for each side of the door, appreciating the fact that every interior has a different personality. You can create the door that compliments your interiors best by choosing from different lines, heights and materials. The doors’ material options are chosen to fit any interior with Mikodam panels for full integrity.  The doors can also be used separately from the panels, thus adding a sense of uniqueness to your interiors.

Another recent addition to our collection is blue fabric which is now included in the customizability options of Mikodam wall panels and armchairs.

We have made updates to three of our most preferred wall panel lines, Geta, Haza and Kara so that they suit the needs of their users in a more flexible manner. We are always adding new features and options so that they can serve their users better. Each product Mikodam offers has a style of its own that subtly refers to the milestones of design, combined with the mindset and technology of today. Mikodam products offer you a strong stand when expressing yourself, reaching integrity not only within the interior but also across the timeline of design.
