I recently talked with Control4’s Charlie Kindle about his upcoming keynote for the, “Let’s Talk Tech: The Future of Smart Homes & IoT” event.

Maureen Jenson: Hey Charlie, tell me about the purpose of the event and why is it taking place now?

Charlie Kindle: The purpose of the event is for professionals in the IoT and other technology fields to have an opportunity to network with tech industry leaders, technologists, and other brilliant minds, as well as to learn and discuss the future of smart home automation and IoT.

Attendees can network with local technology user groups like: DevOps Without Borders, SLC SQL User Group, and the Utah E-Commerce Group and network with other key partner companies such as Blue Matador, New Relic, RSM, Sirius, Salesforce, and more. Since joining Control4 I have embraced the company values and played a role in acquiring a company (NEEO), so there’s no better time than now!

MJ: For our readers that are unfamiliar with your experience, tell them a little about yourself?

CK: I am Control4’s Senior Vice President of Products and Services, with 30 years of industry experience, including my former role as Amazon Alexa Smart Home Chief. I joined Control4 from Amazon last Summer and have plenty to say on the discussion of smart home automation and IoT.

MJ: Where and when is it taking place?

CK: It’s at the Karen Gail Miller Conference Center, 9750 S 300 W, Sandy UT 84070. On Wednesday, February 27, 2019
