Maureen Jenson: Human Centric Lighting is a hot topic right now. How does integration with a Vantage lighting control system contribute to “Lighting for Life”?
Fritz Werder: Lighting for Life means not only enhancing the aesthetics of a space, but the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of its occupants. Integrating Vantage’s InFusion-based HCL control with QMotion advanced shading systems does this by allowing integrators to more easily achieve the perfect harmony of natural and artificial light. It also contributes to a one-touch environment with a home’s subsystems. For example, a “Welcome” scene preset could be pressed when the homeowner comes home, which automatically sets the lighting for the right time of day and raises the shades at the same time to create the perfect lighting conditions.
MJ: You’ve recently introduced a new self-service portal on your website. How does that improve the customer experience?
FW: We offer nearly 300 fabric styles and options. Our new self-service portal makes it easier for dealers and integrators, and even homeowners, to browse this extensive offering and order 8” x 10” memo samples. They can use a number of criteria to filter down a selection — openness factor, price group, color group, and special characteristics such as fire retardant or PVC-free — making it easy to find the right shade fabric for their project. They can then add samples to the cart with a single click and quickly have memo samples in hand. Orders ship via standard UPS ground, and same-day fulfillment is available for orders completed by 10 a.m. EST. And the best part is, it’s all free for our dealers!
