I just got home from a fabulous conference in Boston, and I want to share a few thoughts with you. Innovate Celebrate, co-hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) ™ and Established (formerly TechCo Media), is the premiere global conference bridging the gap between the very best emerging startups and the world’s leading technology brands.

And what an amazing couple of days – from productive CTA Membership meetings to stellar Mentor Sessions and Pitch Coaching, the conference schedule included a variety of strategic networking opportunities.

Tuesday’s Lunch Headliner, David Rose (Warby Parker), gave an inspirational presentation on the future of vision technology. Show attendees finished their day with a high energy showcase of the world’s hottest startups.

The CTA Small Business Council started day one with a field trip to the Innovation and Design Building stopping by to see our friends at Como Audio, headed by Tom DeVesto, 2017’s Innovation Entrepreneur Award honoree, in their inspiring work space. We were also treated to a walk-through and presentation from MassChallenge. Headquartered in the United States with locations in Boston, Israel, Mexico, Switzerland, Texas, and the UK, MassChallenge strengthens the global innovation ecosystem by accelerating high-potential startups across all industries, from anywhere in the world for zero-equity taken. Impressive global impact statistics include 1,500+ alumni startups, $2B+ revenue generated and 80K+ jobs created.

One of CTA’s most exciting initiatives is the 21st Century Workforce Council. We have extended an open invitation to share the results from the Future of Work 2018 survey and new opportunities for CTA members in future editions of the TIG newsletter.

Innovate Celebrate is the event where CTA’s research team really shines. The Market Trends and Forecast Overview and Holiday Trends presentation provide informative guidance to an industry where change is unstoppable.

Wednesday’s Lunch Headliners, Colin Angle, Chairman, CEO and Founder, iRobot and Carolyn Rodz, Founder and CEO, Alice held the audience spellbound with their incredible journeys of creative innovation.

As a grand finale, the Top 5 Startup of the Year Finalists presenting their case in front of Innovate Celebrate attendees and an All-star Panel of Judges provided a riveting demonstration of brilliant innovations.
