Smart Retailing | Smart Partnerships

How do you win in the world of Amazon?

The real question as a retailer . . . are you going to allow a computer to be smarter and give your customer better service? Well unfortunately, the wins lately have gone to the computer.

But not Value Electronics. They understand how to engage their customers. They know how to entertain them and they know everyone in their community.

I attended an event sponsored by LG that showcased their new 4K Laser Ultra Short Throw Projector. The projector is cool, but what we need to pay attention to is how Value Electronics invited their customer base, invited the press and invited industry executives to come to their store to tell the story. It blows me away that this simple idea is not done all the time.

Come on . . . feed your customer the opportunity to see new technology along with a glass of wine and sushi and I’ll show you a retailer that will beat any computer trying to steal their customers. Everyone loves a party so why not party with your customers and sell them something in your store. And big kudos to the LG team and Robert Zohn @Value Electronics for showcasing how a true partnership equals smart retailing.
