Yeah! We’re finally launching the inaugural issue of Technology Designer Magazine this week and we’ll be going live on the TechnologyDesigner.com website in the next week or so. The goal of the magazine and website is to provide education as it relates to technology for the design-build community – and to entertain! The first issue is jam-packed with incredible content.
From a technology point of view, we really focus our storytelling on design-build teams and how they come together to meet client expectations. From residential to multi-dwelling units to light commercial, our team of writers and contributors will be driving the narrative with engaging and fun to read articles.
Architect Nathan Kipnis shares his story about how he has become one of the leading architects in sustainable and resilient design. He is also the co-chair of the AIA’s 2030 Commitment committee and weighs in on that vital initiative.
Another feature article is from Stephen Margulies, the award-winning lighting designer from New York City powerhouse One Lux Studio. Stephen weighs in on residential lighting and the importance of working with a qualified lighting designer.
Another regular feature will be our profiles of design-build teams and in our first issue we’ve got a terrific interview with the team members of Chicagoland’s NextHaus Alliance. Many of you have read Joe Barrett’s articles here on TIG, so it’s great to have him introduce the rest of his design-build partners and how they are working together.
We’ll also be featuring articles on products and designs that our editorial team feel are must-haves in today’s luxury residential smart home. Energy management, networking and wireless infrastructure, automation and voice control. There’s so much to unpack, you’ll just have to check it out and let us know what you think.
We’ve put together an amazing team and we know you’re going to enjoy all we have to offer with the new Technology Designer magazine and website. It is always a journey to launch a new magazine – we believe we’ve raised the bar with informed, erudite writing and fun storytelling in this new offering. Thanks to everyone who has played a role in the birth of TD.
