If you haven’t already joined the Instant Pot community, you’re late to the party. Don’t worry though. This express (pressure cooker) way of cooking your favorite meals, creating your own yogurt and dazzling your family with homemade desserts has a super-welcoming community. Once you have an Instant Pot of your own, you can find recipes in cookbooks and in many different on-line forums. Fair warning: it is so fast you’ll get addicted quickly.
Instant Pot Ribs
Use 2 racks of ribs
16 oz of beer or water
2 cloves of garlic
1 jar of your favorite BBQ sauce
Dry Rub for Ribs
2 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt
1 tsp Cumin Powder
2 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
2 tsp Smoked Paprika
6 tbs Brown Sugar
First, mix the dry rub and set it aside. Then remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Put the dry rub on the ribs.
Pour the beer (or water) into the bottom of your Instant Pot along with 2 cloves of garlic. Then roll the ribs up to fit into the middle. Close the lid and cook on “High Pressure” for 15-25 minutes. 15 minutes will leave them chewier and 25 will have them falling off of the bone. As soon as they’re done, let the pressure release naturally while you preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Once the pressure has released, take the ribs out and put them on a lined baking sheet. Brush them with your favorite BBQ sauce and put in the oven for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
