This week I talked to Craig Spinner about what dealers are saying, the Savant dealer support system and the company’s CEDIA EXPO plans and beyond.

Maureen Jenson: Last week we were talking about your new IP-based Micro Aperture speakers. What are the integrators saying about them?

Craig Spinner: Here are a couple of comments from two respected integrators: Said Matt Lavin of Metro Eighteen, “The new Savant IP-based Micro Aperture speakers are a breeze to install and configure. The best part is how seamlessly they work with the other Savant AVB audio components. It’s an easily scalable high-performance solution that provides many new design options.”

And from Matt Milstein of M2 Multimedia Inc., “Savant’s new Micro Aperture speakers beautifully compliment the aesthetics of Savant’s architectural lighting and Savant’s IP audio products, making installation and configuration a breeze while offering excellent sound quality for distributed audio.”

MJ: How is Savant supporting its dealers with these new products?

CS: Savant offers bundled packages with discounts that include the components of our source-to-speaker audio over IP entertainment systems, creating a compelling value on the best solution for integrators.

MJ: Tell me more about how Savant is capturing business for the rest of 2019?

CS: Savant has so many exciting products reaching integrators this year…from our centralized lighting and energy management solution to enhancements we have created for the Savant Pro App. We have new features on our remote, including Video Tiling control as well as IP control of Apple TV with Siri integration and the sound bar with embedded host that we discussed earlier. And that barely scratches the surface—innovation never stops at Savant.

MJ: What are Savant’s plans for CEDIA EXPO 2019?

CS: Savant is working on many advanced solutions and innovations, including some amazing surprises that create opportunity for integrators and elevate the smart home experience for their clients. We will continue to forge ahead in all key categories, such as lighting, energy management, whole house entertainment, shades and so much more. Per usual, Savant will have a large presence at CEDIA in 2019, and we feel that it is our mission to always push boundaries and bring innovation to the CI channel. CEDIA Expo attendees will see that again this year in Denver.

MJ: Anything else you would care to add?

CS: We think there is tremendous opportunity in energy management and micro grid technology, and Savant will continue to work with sister company Racepoint Energy to develop cutting edge solutions that bring enhanced lifestyle, grid independence and reduced carbon footprint to our customers.
