From our friends at CTA:

Memorial Day is a time to honor our nation’s fallen heroes and welcome the unofficial beginning of Summer. This year is different on both counts. Our outdoor gatherings over the holiday weekend will be smaller, and we should extend our gratitude to our newest heroes — our health care professionals and essential frontline workers.

CTA’s newest research is on the Telework and the New Home Office — more than two-thirds of respondents are working remotely every day, and nearly a third move around their home during the workday. This week’s Tech Use Tracker shows more U.S. households — now up to 34% — are using streaming music services such as Spotify or Apple Music. Also, our new Ownership and Market Potential Study has data on the tech products Americans own now and what they plan to buy over the next 12 months.

Upcoming leadership webinars include my discussions with former CES keynoter Dr. Lisa Su, president and CEO of AMD and Kay Coles James, president of the Heritage Foundation — details to come. And you’re welcome to watch our previous Masters of Leadership sessions anytime at CTA.tech — my conversations with Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT)Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia and Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Our Member Resources page continues to impress, delivering timely insights, guidance and best practices about the pandemic to our member companies. The latest feature is our State Executive Action Map, outlining rules, health mandates and phased reopening plans for every state. As parts of the country move toward reopening, we hope you’ll find our key guidelines for navigating workforce reentry helpful.

As always, please let us know what other resources you’d find helpful.

I hope you have a memorable and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Your Industry Representative,

Gary Shapiro
President and CEO
