The future of premium invisible audio has arrived.
Today’s luxury home buyers expect the very best products, furnishings, and entertainment systems in their homes. A state-of-the-art AV system is a key piece of the design, but it must not compete with the décor of the living space. Great sound should be heard, but it need not be seen – it should be invisible. The JBL Conceal Series combines patented technologies with JBL’s acoustic design to deliver a product that truly disappears into the room. The products in the Conceal Series include a compression molded baffle with a proprietary FidelityGlass™ acoustic panel, an integrated rear enclosure, and advanced transducers and network designs. The products install as easily as a standard drywall patch and feature a paintable surface that can also be custom finished. With a broad hemispherical coverage pattern and no visible components, JBL Conceal Series loudspeakers can be discretely and optimally located throughout an environment immersing the listener in great sound that is heard and not seen.
The C86 is the flagship of the JBL Conceal Series. This invisible architectural loudspeaker features a dual panel design for optimum acoustic performance. Each panel includes a rigid frame that houses the drivers and acoustic components that would be found on a conventional visible architectural in-wall or in-ceiling loudspeaker. The frame attaches directly to the structural framing of the wall, while the face of the loudspeaker – the FidelityGlass™ panel – features a smooth and durable surface that is designed to be finished in a similar fashion to the wallboard surrounding it. With the edges of the loudspeaker flush to the wallboard, the seams are taped and spackled using common methods and techniques. Once sanded and properly prepared, you simply need to paint or wallpaper the surface of the loudspeaker to match your desired finish.

The next speaker in the Conceal Series is the C83, which contains two drive elements working in tandem with the FidelityGlass™ acoustic panel to provide the high-and mid-frequency component of the sound. The panel also utilizes an 8-inch low-frequency driver working in tandem with the FidelityGlass panel to deliver impressive bass performance. This combination of drivers and patented technologies results in high-performance sound that typically would only be found in large conventional in-wall loudspeakers.

The panel also utilizes a 6.5-inch low-frequency driver working in tandem with the FidelityGlass panel to deliver bass performance. This combination of drivers and patented technologies results in high-performance sound that rivals that of traditional in-wall loudspeakers.

Of course, the family wouldn’t be complete without a subwoofer.
The JBL Conceal Series C82W is a dual-panel, high-performance invisible architectural subwoofer system. Each C82W panel includes a rigid frame that houses the drivers and acoustic components that would be found on a conventional visible architectural in-wall or in-ceiling loudspeaker. The foundation of the panel of the C82W is a compression molded baffle that provides a rigid frame for the entire assembly. The FidelityGlass acoustic panel is affixed to the frame and serves as the diaphragm for the transducers. Within the panel, dual 8-inch (200mm) high-power woofers operate in conjunction with the FidelityGlass panel and a tuned enclosure to deliver solid bass performance rivaling that of traditional in-room subwoofers.
The C82W system is the perfect complement to add solid bottom-end performance to any of the JBL Conceal Series loudspeakers in music or multi-channel audio systems.

The Conceal Series is new but people are already taking notice!
It’s one thing for us to talk about the new JBL Conceal Series of invisible loudspeakers, and how excited we are about this game changer in the home audio sphere. It’s entirely another when popular consumer sites start featuring them.
Highly regarded consumer technology website TechHive recently published a piece on Conceal, talking about how the speakers disappear into walls.
“Harman Luxury Audio’s new JBL Conceal Series loudspeakers, shipping in July, are major problem solvers. When building out an audio system for a home theater, the best way to get true surround sound is to strategically place discrete speakers around the room. If you or your spouse don’t find that approach aesthetically pleasing, the traditional solution has been to mount the speakers in the room’s walls and—for Dolby Atmos or DTS:X—in the ceiling. Until now, the only way to do that was during new construction or extensive remodeling that exposes the studs.”
Residential Tech Today says that “not seeing is believing” for these incredible new speakers.
“The new JBL Conceal Series loudspeakers combine patented invisible loudspeaker innovations with JBL’s well-respected acoustic design. The speakers are paintable and can be installed in-wall or in-ceiling to be seamless with drywall, enabling greater positioning freedom and eliminating wall/ceiling blemishes inherent with traditional architectural loudspeakers.”
