WAC Lighting has a wonderful reputation for driving innovation in the lighting industry. Their history spans 35 years and over that time they have received accolades for new product design and are today a formidable player in the LED lighting community. I want to share with you my thoughts on their new LED recessed downlighting product called Oculux.

WAC Lighting is leading the way in the field of LED recessed downlighting products. The Oculux is a recessed downlight fixture that has the capability for dim-to-warm lighting that mimics the characteristics of an incandescent bulb. In other words, what the consumers know is that as the light dims the room transitions to a warm, more natural setting. This is the setting that we have all grown up with. The Oculux provides this along with other benefits of LED technology, including long life and energy efficiency.

The Oculux is available with a 0° – 35° adjustability, as well as offered in round and square open reflector assemblies. They offer a 2-inch model and a 3.5-inch model with multiple finish options. Dim-to-warm color temperature range is 3,000K – 1,800K. The Oculux dims with most standard wall dimming protocols and the color temperature dimming curve is already pre-programmed for plug-and-play use, for easy installation.
