Just Added! Your Voice Matters to Create Inclusion and Diversity in the Workplace Panel – Kimberly Hulsey, Director – In House Practice Group, MLA; Monica Lucero, Senior Manager, Future Workforce Solutions Lead, Deloitte
Effective diversity and inclusion initiatives begin with a vision from the top, but they are sustained by accountability and reinforcement year after year. Diversity and inclusion goals should be interwoven into performance expectations and individual bonus parameters. While diversity is principally about numbers and metrics, inclusion’s focus is on the creation of a culture of belonging, where people feel valued and feel like they have a place or a fit in the organization—a genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion requires elements of both.

Learn how diversity and inclusion matters are not the domain of people of color or the differently-abled or the LGBTQ community, it must be the work and mission of ALL stakeholders in the business community.

Driven by her passion for matters of diversity, inclusion and talent management, Kimberly Hulsey recently left the active practice of law to enter the profession of legal search consulting. As a Director with Major, Lindsey and Africa, Kimberly supports in-house legal departments in their strategic hiring decisions, placing the best fit legal, government affairs and compliance talent in corporations, government agencies, not-for-profits and higher education institutions throughout the D.C. metro area.

Monica Lucero has over 20 years of operational leadership, business development and partnership building experience. She is the Senior Manager, Future Workforce Solutions Lead for Deloitte Open Talent where she is focused on building out independent contractor clouds as part of the talent management for Deloitte U.S. Her subject matter expertise will help in driving technology deployment, sourcing and recruiting strategies for an optimized contingent workforce approach.

The Impact of Your Voice on Popular Culture
Carletta S. Hurt – Producer, Immediate Past President, WIFV
This talk will focus on how speaking up about your creative ideas, empowering others to think inventively about new types of entertainment content, and collaborating on imaginative projects can affect pop culture. How do social media trends affect what kinds of movies and TV series are created, as well as how creative partnerships across genres move the industry forward?
